2016 National JA Conference Scholarship Opportunity!
This year’s session is designed to help families understand the importance of their participation, what it means to fully participate, and how to become a partner in research. The program will include topics such as:
- How you can help researchers in prioritizing research that is most important to you
- Developing your own research question
- Getting involved in study design
- What is comparative effectiveness research
- How best to share research results with families
Prior experience in research is not necessary. This opportunity is available to anyone who wants to learn about research. In addition to learning more about your role in research, you will have a voice in revising the session’s content for future meetings! The Arthritis Foundation, as part of this award, will be awarding 15 scholarships to attend each JA Conference to take part in the session. After the conference, you will be asked to share with us ways to improve the session and related materials.
If you have already submitted an application for a JA Conference Scholarship, and would like us to know you are interested in this research education opportunity, please email your name, address and email address as it appeared on your application to [email protected] .
