Matt Iseman Wins NBC's ''The New Celebrity Apprentice'', and $978,000 for the Arthritis Foundation

ATLANTA, February 14, 2017 – Embodying what is means to be a Champion of Yes, Matt Iseman won NBC’s season 8 of “The New Celebrity Apprentice” last night and selected the Arthritis Foundation as his charity of choice. Thanks to Matt’s hard work and relentless effort, the Arthritis Foundation is proud to announce we are the recipient of $978,000, which will help support the 50 million Americans with arthritis, including 300,000 children.

“The Arthritis Foundation and our community have been actively supporting Matt and his efforts to help push him across the finish line,” said Ann M. Palmer, president and CEO of the Arthritis Foundation. “Matt has not only helped raise awareness about our cause and organization but also has helped fund our mission in scientific discovery to find a cure.”

The season finale positioned Matt against Boy George with a grand challenge – raise a huge amount of money for the Arthritis Foundation in one week. To support Matt, the Foundation launched “Help Matt Fight for 50,” a fundraising campaign to encourage individuals to support Matt in his fight for the Foundation. Every person who donated online or mailed in an entry to the Foundation was also entered to win a cruise for two provided by Carnival Corporation.*

“When Arnold Schwarzenegger, host of NBC’s ‘The New Celebrity Apprentice,’ challenged Boy George and me to raise a huge amount of money for our charities of choice, I knew this would be the greatest challenge yet,” said Matt Iseman, winner of “The New Celebrity Apprentice” and host of “American Ninja Warrior.” “Walking into the last challenge inspired and motivated, I knew this was my once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to help raise a significant amount of money for the Arthritis Foundation and support their mission to find a cure for the 50 million Americans with arthritis, including me.”

This generous donation will support the Arthritis Foundation’s mission to find a cure for arthritis. The Foundation continues to lead and fund cutting-edge scientific investigations to discover more about arthritis – what causes it, what affects it, what can stop it and even keep it from developing in the first place.
