Vaccination Requirements

The Arthritis Foundation continues to keep safety a top priority for our JA Family Summit. We strongly recommend that immunocompromised and other high-risk arthritis patients (e.g., the elderly and those with comorbid conditions such as obesity, heart disease and diabetes) and their families get the original vaccine series as well as additional primary and booster shots as recommended.

Travel Assistance Program

The Arthritis Foundation is pleased to offer limited financial assistance to those wishing to attend the 2023 JA Family Summit and to those who meet certain criteria. The applications are open to both children/teens and their families (up to four people in the same household) and young adults with up to one companion (ages 18 to 30). Travel awards only cover partial expenses. They do not cover the costs of additional meals, transportation to/from airport, parking fees, airline baggage fees, room upgrades or expenses related to additional members of the family. The deadline to apply is March 15, 2023.

Room Rates

The Arthritis Foundation has negotiated the following nightly rates for attendees. If lodging is available, this rate will be honored three days before and three days after the published meeting dates (based on availability). The group rate is available until June 26, 2023 . After this date, we cannot guarantee the group rate will be available.

One Standard Guest Room: $174.00 (plus 14% taxes and $8.00 per night fee). Standard room options: one king bed or two queen beds (up to four people maximum).

Recommended Dress/Weather

The dress for the conference is casual, so you are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing. The temperature in Atlanta in July averages a high of 92 degrees and a low of 75 degrees. Remember to bring a sweater or jacket since the temperature inside those hotel meeting rooms may be cool.
